the location Only 15 miles from New Braunfels, in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, the TREEHOUSE LODGE is located on the most popular river for water recreation in Texas.

Whether you prefer observing from the Treehouse decks, relaxing on a lazy float with beautiful scenery, or thrilling to the rush of challenging rapids, the Guadalupe will delight you.

Canoeing, innertubing, and kayaking are available, and river outfitters are as close as a half-block from the Treehouse.  The particular stretch of river passing where the Treehouse sits is the only place in Texas where the angler can fish for Rainbow and Brown Trout.

Nearby Canyon Lake is perfectly suited to skiing, boating, fishing, and scuba diving, and has a reputation for being the finest sailing lake in Texas.  A boat ramp for launching on Canyon Lake is less than 10 minutes from the TREEHOUSE LODGE.

the lodgeDesigned in “retreat center” style, the Treehouse Lodge can be divided into components for suitability to specific guest groups.

Believing that nothing inspires great achievement better than the  beauty of nature, the Drums designed the Treehouse Lodge to  provide an effective environment in which church, business, or  other work groups can accomplish goals, and simultaneously enjoy the pleasures of this beautiful riverside retreat

The Treehouse Lodge is offered to groups taking the entire property, OR to individuals and small families taking one or two rooms in  “Inn-Style,” sharing common areas.

There are a total of 7 large private bedrooms, 3 large communal-style bathrooms, and 3 half-baths up through the 4th floor,  plus a large lounge area on the 4th floor.  The common areas on the 1st floor include the Family Room, the Dining Area,  and a gourmet Kitchen, as well as a large wraparound deck with picnic tables and gas grills.   All rooms (with the exception of one) in the Treehouse Lodge  have private access to decks with incredible views.

the luxury
Remember a time in your youth when action characters were Cowboys and Indians? And when the ultimate fortress was in the treetops?  Hosts Loren and Debbie Drum have captured that memory and fashioned it into a fantasy experience to delight the childhood adventurer in all of us.

The TREEHOUSE LODGE inevitably became the culmination of their flight to the treetops, and was designed to showcase their collection of Indian treasures, which are displayed for guests to enjoy or purchase.    This incredible structure not only is built around enormous old pecan and cypress trees, but features a tower soaring to the 8th floor, high above the trees where the hawks glide beside your window.  Each luxurious guest room has access to decks with breathtaking views of the river below and the wildlife in and above the trees.

The “Drums Along the Guadalupe” TREEHOUSE LODGE is intended to be an exclusive experience for those who cherish the beauty of nature and value the uniqueness of the Lodge and its treasures.
